Kyrgyzstan accounted for more than a quarter of all Central Asia's trade with China
The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and China reached a record 27.2 billion US dollars in 2025, reflecting an impressive growth of 20%. This was reported by Liu Jianping, the Chinese ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, at a press conference dedicated to the results of the sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
“Last year, the total trade volume between China and the five Central Asian countries exceeded 100 billion US dollars. Of this significant volume, over 25% comes from supplies from Kyrgyzstan. This is a significant achievement that officially confirmed a new historical high in economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and China,” the ambassador noted.
