
On March 16, a telephone dialogue took place between the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as reported by the press service of the head of Kyrgyzstan.
During the conversation, Japarov congratulated Tokayev on the successful completion of the referendum concerning the new Constitution of Kazakhstan.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the voting results were a testament to the active participation of citizens in democratic processes and an expression of their trust in state institutions. He emphasized that the high voter turnout was an indicator of an active civic stance and support for reforms.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in turn, expressed gratitude for the kind words and congratulations, noting the constant support from Kyrgyzstan and interest in events in Kazakhstan. He also confirmed the intention to continue deepening cooperation between the two countries and developing strategic partnership.
The leaders discussed key issues of bilateral and multilateral interaction, as well as the prospects for strengthening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
At the end of the conversation, Japarov expressed hope for further strengthening of relations based on trust, traditional friendship, and brotherhood. He also congratulated Tokayev on the upcoming holidays of Orozo Ait and Nowruz, wishing the peoples of both countries peace, prosperity, and well-being.
