Chingiz Aydarbekov, who previously held the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, may once again take a seat as a deputy in the Jogorku Kenesh. His candidacy is being considered in case Kuanychbek Kongantiev decides to resign from his post, about which he has already submitted a statement.

Today, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums plans to discuss Kongantiev's statement at its meeting.

According to available information, the decision to resign from the deputy mandate was initiated in response to criticism that emerged on social media. Messages and videos regarding possible assets belonging to Kongantiev and his entourage were circulated online; however, he has not yet commented on these allegations.

If Kuanychbek Kongantiev indeed decides to leave his position, his place may be taken by Chingiz Aydarbekov, who already has experience working in parliament and received 4,872 votes in the Lenin single-mandate district during the elections.

Connections between Kongantiev and Kamchybek Tashiev, the former head of the State National Security Committee, are also mentioned in public discussions. According to information from social media, the deputy is the godfather of Tashiev's son, Tai-Muras.

At the time of writing this article, there had been no official comments from Kuanychbek Kongantiev regarding his decision to resign from the mandate.
