Deputy Kubanychbek Kongantiev decided to resign from his mandate

A statement regarding the resignation of his powers has been submitted to the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums by the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, Kuanychbek Kongantiev.

It is expected that his request will be considered at the meeting of the Central Election Commission on March 10.

Kuanychbek Kongantiev was elected from electoral district No. 21, representing the Lenin district of Bishkek, and received 13,379 votes in the elections. In parliament, he is a member of the deputy group "El ümitü Ata-Jurt" and serves as the chairman of the committee dealing with industrial policy, transport, the fuel and energy complex, architecture, and construction.

Kongantiev has experience working in the Bishkek City Council and is the son of Kambarly Kongantiev, who held the position of Attorney General, as well as the nephew of Moldomus Kongantiev, who previously headed the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Recently, a video appeared on social media discussing his assets and connections. The author of this video claims that his circle has numerous companies and businesses. Additionally, rumors have emerged about his connections with Okul Ata Taimuraz Tashiev.

At the moment, Kongantiev has not made any comments regarding these rumors.

According to media reports, his seat in parliament may be taken by Chyngyz Aydarbekov, sources report.
