Kyrgyzstan and France discussed the development of inter-parliamentary relations


Recently, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan, Marlen Mamataliyev, held a meeting with Nicolas Faye, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of France to Kyrgyzstan. During this dialogue, ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and develop inter-parliamentary relations were discussed, as reported by the parliament's press service.
As part of the meeting, the parties examined aspects of political-economic and cultural-humanitarian interaction between the two countries.

Mamataliyev expressed Kyrgyzstan's interest in deepening cooperation with France in various areas. He noted that it is particularly important to develop trade and economic relations, as well as joint initiatives in the field of environmental protection, tourism, and digitalization.

The Speaker also emphasized the significance of parliamentary diplomacy for strengthening partnerships between states. He highlighted the need to activate bilateral visits and meetings of deputies, as well as to expand interaction between friendship groups of deputies.

For his part, Ambassador Nicolas Faye supported the initiatives voiced by the Kyrgyz side and offered his ideas for further developing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and France. He stressed the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, which are crucial for the successful implementation of the agreements reached.

Additionally, issues concerning the opening of direct flights and the establishment of cultural centers, which would promote cultural exchange between the two countries, were discussed.
