The meeting between the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Marlen Mamataliyev and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev took place recently, as reported by the parliament's press service.
During the conversation, key issues concerning the expansion of political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian interaction between the two countries were discussed. An important aspect was also the development of inter-parliamentary relations.
Marlen Mamataliyev noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in further deepening friendly and good-neighborly relations with Uzbekistan.
“We must continue to strengthen our strategic partnership in the same spirit,” he emphasized.
The Speaker added that diplomacy carried out through parliament plays a significant role in the successful implementation of previously reached agreements.
Saidikram Niyazkhodjaev, for his part, noted that Uzbekistan is pleased to observe the active development of Kyrgyzstan and its successes.
He also shared his plans to deepen bilateral cooperation within the framework of his diplomatic mission.
