The CEC is checking the criminal record of MP Bekmurza Ergeshov

If a criminal record is found, the MP may lose his mandate

The Central Election Commission, which oversees elections and referendums, has begun an investigation into MP Bekmurza Ergeshov of the Jogorku Kenesh regarding the presence of a criminal record. This information was provided by representatives of the commission.

According to available data, a request was sent to the information center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs several days ago, and the response time is 14 days.

If a criminal record is established, the question of revoking Ergeshov's parliamentary mandate will arise.

MP Bekmurza Ergeshov was elected in November 2025 from electoral district No. 6, which includes the city of Osh. Previously, another candidate from this district claimed that Ergeshov was sentenced to five years in 1998; however, the MP has not yet commented on these allegations.
