The CEC is verifying information about the criminal record of MP Bekmurza Ergeshov.
According to him, a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' information center was sent a few days ago.
“We have not yet received a response. Usually, the processing time for requests is 14 days. As soon as the information becomes available, we will continue to address this issue,” Bekmatov noted.
If a criminal record is found for the deputy, a question may be initiated regarding the revocation of his mandate. It should also be noted that to participate in the elections, a candidate is required to provide a certificate confirming the absence of a criminal record.
In the parliamentary elections held in November 2025, Bekmurza Ergeshov was elected as a deputy from electoral district No. 6, which covers the city of Osh. Previously, another candidate for this district claimed that Ergeshov was convicted for five years in 1998; however, the deputy himself has not yet commented on these allegations.
