During the meeting, current work on strengthening the borders was discussed. Heads of relevant agencies were instructed to ensure mandatory and quality execution of the assigned tasks.
By 2025, within the framework of the project, an engineering fence will be installed along almost 150 kilometers of the border. In 2026, the construction of an additional 200 kilometers of protective lines is planned:
- 65 kilometers — in the Batken district;
- 135 kilometers — in the Leilek district.
Participants of the meeting emphasized the need for coordination of actions and strict adherence to established deadlines.
It was also noted that work is being intensified to identify cases of illegal movement of goods. An instruction was given to strengthen control in areas with increased risk, prevent damage to engineering structures, and ensure the preservation of established infrastructure.
Given the current international situation, including events in Afghanistan and Pakistan, additional instructions were provided to ensure security and enhance the readiness of all services.
