
Iskender Sulaymanov has been appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
He was born in Kara-Balta in 1985 and is of Kyrgyz nationality. Sulaymanov holds the military rank of reserve lieutenant colonel.
Recently, the appointment of a new head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations — Urmatbek Shamyurkanov — was also announced.
This personnel change is aimed at improving the ministry's operations and enhancing the effectiveness of the system responsible for preventing and eliminating emergencies in the country.
- In 2007, Iskender Sulaymanov graduated from the Bishkek Higher Military School of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Lieutenant General K. Usenbekov, obtaining a qualification as an engineer in the specialty "commander of motorized rifle tactics and management of military units."
- In 2015, he graduated with honors from the Academy of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
- From 2007 to 2021, Sulaymanov served in various units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
- In 2021, he took the position of advisor to the deputy speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, and in 2022-2023, he worked again in this role.
- From 2023 to 2025, Iskender Sulaymanov was the deputy head of the apparatus of the Jogorku Kenesh, and in 2025-2026, he headed the department of the committee on science, education, innovative development, and information technologies, culture, sports, and youth affairs of the parliament.
- Throughout his service, Sulaymanov has been awarded several departmental and state awards. In 2010, he received the medal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic "Azamat" III degree for participating in stabilizing the socio-economic situation during interethnic conflicts in the Osh region. He also has a letter of gratitude from the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic for the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and several medals from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic "For Distinction in Military Service" I and II degrees, "For Impeccable Service" II and III degrees, as well as various anniversary awards.
