The detention of Kyrgyz beggars will become a practice
During a meeting of the parliamentary committee on law enforcement, crime prevention, and anti-corruption, a draft law was discussed and adopted in the first reading, concerning amendments to several legislative acts, including the Code of Offenses and the law "On External Migration".
The Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated this draft law, which contains amendments aimed at reducing begging in the country.
It is proposed to expel foreign citizens engaged in begging or involving others in this practice from Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyz citizens engaged in such activities will face detention measures.
