Before his new appointment, Abytov served as the authorized representative of the president and the government in the Jogorku Kenesh, which confirms his experience in public service.
Brief Biography
Almasbek Abytov was born in 1966 in the Osh region. He is an engineer-mechanic by education (Kyrgyz State Agricultural Institute) and an economist-mathematician (Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics). He also holds a PhD in technical sciences and the status of a state advisor of the III class in public service.
Key Career Highlights:
- Since 1995, he worked in the apparatus of the Jogorku Kenesh, starting as an assistant to the deputy speaker and ending as the head of key departments (budget and finance). He was also a deputy of the V convocation (2015).
- From 2010 to 2011, he served as the Minister of Labor, Employment, and Migration.
- Since 2019, he has been the permanent representative of the president and the government in the parliament.
