During the "Agrodialog" forum, the Chairman of the Cabinet, Adylbek Kasymaliev, discussed the results of the agricultural sector's development and presented plans for the future.

According to his statements, by 2025, the volume of agricultural products in the country will reach 459.7 billion soms, exceeding last year's figures by 62.9 billion soms. The growth rate will be 102.2%.

A similar growth is observed in product processing: by 2025, the volume will amount to 104.7 billion soms, which is 16.2 billion soms more than in 2024, with a growth rate of 130.1%.

Kasymaliev also noted the positive dynamics in exports, where more than 60 types of agricultural products are supplied to over 80 countries, and the population is provided with six out of nine essential food products.

He emphasized that such achievements are the result of joint efforts between business and government. "Every year we observe increasingly coordinated efforts in addressing issues related to fuel, financing, and other important aspects," added the head of the Cabinet.

Kasymaliev reminded about the National Development Program of Kyrgyzstan, which aims to increase the volume of agricultural products by 30% by 2030, double processing, reduce water losses to 15%, expand irrigated lands by 15,000 hectares, and increase the level of water supply to 93,000 hectares.

In 2026, it is planned to allocate 12.3 billion soms for irrigation, while the total funding for the agricultural sector will amount to 41.1 billion soms, which is 9.6 billion soms more compared to 2025.

According to Kasymaliev, it is necessary to strengthen the material base in seed production, breeding livestock, and nurseries, as well as to effectively utilize preferential loans.

He also announced ambitious goals for processing: by 2030, this figure should reach 25%, and by 2040 - 50%, while currently it stands at about 7%.

To achieve these goals, it is planned to put into operation 385 processing enterprises by 2030, 75 of which will open in 2026, as well as to develop agro-clusters and value-added chains.

As an example of successful practice, he cited the Netherlands, where tulip exports bring in over 1 billion euros, and Turkey, which exports dried apricots worth about $400 million a year. Kasymaliev noted that Kyrgyzstan has already begun to introduce dried apricots to the international market and called for intensified efforts to promote domestic products.

He also emphasized the importance of science and education for the development of agriculture, expressing hope for the active participation of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University and scientists in this process.

As part of the forum, a ceremony was held to award employees of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
