Donald Trump ordered the Pentagon to declassify UFO archives

President of the United States Donald Trump announced the start of the release of government documents related to UFOs and possible forms of extraterrestrial life. He officially instructed the Department of Defense to prepare all relevant materials for publication.

This statement was made by Trump on his social network Truth Social, noting that his decision was a response to the "huge interest" of the public in the issue of alien presence.

“I am directing the Secretary of Defense and all interested agencies to begin the process of identifying and releasing documents related to extraterrestrial life and unidentified flying objects. These are not easy, but extremely important questions,” the president emphasized.

Before this step, Trump publicly criticized Barack Obama, his predecessor, accusing him of unauthorized disclosure of classified information. He characterized Obama's recent statements about UFOs as a "huge mistake," but no specific facts of a breach of secrecy were provided.

According to Reuters, the controversy arose from Obama's interview on Brian Tyler Cohen's podcast. In a joking manner, the 44th president of the United States responded to a question about the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence, saying that "they are real," but added that they are not hidden in "Area 51," and he has not seen any secret underground facilities. Later, Obama clarified on Instagram that his words were based on the mathematical probability of life existing in the vast Universe, but during his presidency, he did not receive any clear evidence of contact with aliens.
