“We can be proud of our work — our conscience is clear”
At a meeting with municipal employees, former mayor of Osh Zhenishbek Toktorbaev made a statement that no one can remain in their position indefinitely.
The event was attended by the chairman of the cabinet of ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, who, along with Toktorbaev, introduced the new mayor of the city, Janar Akayev.
“I served in this position at the request of the president for one year and two months. We made every effort to improve life in our city. The citizens really have no complaints against us — our conscience is clear. We have almost completely fulfilled the tasks set before us. I am happy to share my developments and ideas with the new mayor. I left of my own accord. If I offended or judged anyone — I apologize. Work is work. I hope that in Manas you now have a brother by name. My doors are always open for you. My term has come to an end. Time comes, and no one stays in office forever,” Toktorbaev noted.
