Jenyshbek Toktorbaev, the former mayor of Osh, commented on the appointment of Janar Akaev to the position he previously held.
“We have achieved most of our goals, but there is still much work ahead. I am confident that together with Janar Kubanychovich, you will be able to complete all the ongoing projects. He is a good acquaintance of mine from parliament, a smart, educated, and decent person who knows what he is doing,” Toktorbaev noted, as reported by Sputnik.
The former mayor also apologized to his former subordinates.
“I may have upset or criticized you, but that was only related to work. I have always said that I would do this exclusively on official matters, and in life, I am a very simple person,” he added.
Toktorbaev was appointed as the mayor of the city of Osh on January 23, 2025. Prior to that, he represented the "Ata-Jurt Kyrgyzstan" party as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh (7th convocation).
