Border guards of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan met at the junction of the three states.
At the site where the borders of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan intersect, a meeting of border guards from these three countries was held. This information was announced by representatives of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event took place on Sunday, February 15.
During the discussions, participants addressed key issues of cooperation in the border area, improving mechanisms for information exchange between border services, as well as coordinating actions to prevent incidents at the borders.
Particular attention was paid to the rules of interaction during engineering and economic activities, as well as spring field events in the border zone. Algorithms for operational response and resolution of potential disputes were also discussed.
As a result of the meeting, a decision was made to improve the area around the stele, as well as to create access roads at border sections, which will be ensured by the efforts of each party. All participants agreed to jointly green this area.
The businesslike and constructive approach to negotiations demonstrated the countries' desire to continue strengthening borders, developing good-neighborly relations, and maintaining stability in border areas.
