The Jogorku Kenesh plans to accelerate its work through digitalization

At the opening of the parliament session on February 18, the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev, announced initiatives for the digitalization of the legislative body’s work, including the implementation of electronic document management.

During a recent meeting with President Sadyr Japarov, Mamataliyev presented the development strategy of the Jogorku Kenesh for the next five years, emphasizing priorities such as increasing efficiency and utilizing digital technologies.

The speaker noted that the experience of digitalization in the Presidential Administration has demonstrated significant advantages, including speeding up decision-making processes by 10 to 20 times. In 2024, thanks to digital solutions, it was possible to save over 1 billion 205 million soms.

The reform includes a plan to reduce paper document flow in legislative activities. Soon, each deputy will be provided with tablets for access to meeting materials, information from committees, and other reference data.

In addition, it is planned to regulate the participation of representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers in committee meetings, allowing heads of state agencies to join discussions in an online format.

It is also planned to organize online meetings between deputies and voters in the regions. For the convenience of citizens, five public reception offices for deputy groups and a room for mothers with children will be opened in the parliament building.

Mamataliyev emphasized that the implementation of digital technologies is aimed at improving work processes, optimally distributing resources, and enhancing the quality of the parliament's work.
