Biography of the new Deputy Head of the State Committee for National Security Akylbek Namazov

On February 17, President Sadyr Japarov appointed Akylbek Namazov as the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security.

He replaced Timur Shabdanbekov in this position.

Akylbek Namazov was born on April 3, 1971, in Dushanbe.

Education:

In 1997, he graduated from the Kyrgyz State Institute of Physical Culture with a degree in "pre-conscription and physical training."
In 2003, he graduated from the FSB Academy of the Russian Federation, specializing in "operational activities of security agencies."
In 2013, he completed his studies at the Kyrgyz National University in the field of "law."

Work Experience:

He began his career in 1991.
Since September 2021, he has been working in the customs authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He held the positions of Deputy Head and Head of the "Operational," Southwestern, and Northeastern Customs.
He led the Main Directorate for Combating Smuggling.
Since March 12, 2025, he has been the Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service.

He is a colonel of the customs service.
