Kim Jong Un has chosen his daughter as the official heir to power in North Korea

According to information from the National Intelligence Service of South Korea (NIS), Kim Jong Un has completed the selection of his heir to the throne. The North Korean leader has begun the formal process of transferring power to his daughter, Kim Ju Ae.

Experts emphasize that previously Kim Ju Ae was only being prepared for her future role, but now she has been officially declared the successor. This is confirmed by her participation in various state events, where she has started to actively express her opinions on key political issues. Analysts are now focused on the upcoming congress of the Workers' Party of Korea at the end of February: if Ju Ae appears at this significant event, it could solidify her political importance.

Kim Ju Ae is the only known child of Kim Jong Un. The existence of the leader's older son is presumed, but he has never been officially reported. Kim Ju Ae first came to public attention in 2013 when American basketball player Dennis Rodman mentioned meeting "little Ju Ae" during his visit to Pyongyang.
