The Ministry of Justice of Kyrgyzstan has initiated discussions on the implementation of English law and the establishment of an International Dispute Resolution Center (IDRC) within the framework of the Special Financial and Investment Territory "Tamchy." This topic was raised during a meeting between the country's chief lawyer Ayaz Bayetov, the British Ambassador Nick Boulter, and representatives of international financial organizations, according to the ministry's press service.
Delegates from the World Bank, EBRD, ADB, International Business Council (IBC), as well as diplomats from the European Union and the United States of America also participated in the discussion. The meeting participants discussed in detail the steps necessary to create the IDRC, which will meet international standards in commercial dispute resolution.
The planned arbitration in the Special Financial and Investment Territory "Tamchy" is expected to become an important tool for protecting investors' rights and increasing trust in Kyrgyzstan's legal system. Representatives of international organizations emphasized that having an authoritative mechanism for dispute resolution will ensure the stability of judicial and arbitration practices, which in turn will be a significant factor in attracting investments to the private sector.
At the end of the meeting, participants expressed their readiness for the joint implementation of this initiative aimed at developing the country's investment potential.
