Ministry of Defense: The number of other nationalities is increasing in the Kyrgyz Army

At today's meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with international affairs, defense, security, and migration, Deputy Medina Kairylbekova raised a question about the percentage of conscripts from other nationalities. She emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is a multinational country.

A representative of the Ministry of Defense reported that, in accordance with current legislation, all citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic are required to serve in the military regardless of their nationality. He also noted that the ministry is actively working to increase the number of representatives from various nationalities in the army, and this figure is constantly growing.

The Ministry of Defense added that specific data cannot be disclosed due to restrictions on access to information.
