
In his greeting, President Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to expanding cooperation with Tajikistan, based on mutual respect and consideration of the interests of both sides.
“We have reached an understanding on key areas of our interaction thanks to the similarity of our views with the President of Tajikistan,” noted the head of state.
During the meeting, the first session of the Kyrgyz-Tajik intergovernmental council also took place, which will become an important tool for the effective implementation of the tasks set.
The President emphasized the need for joint efforts in the fight against transnational threats such as terrorism, drug trafficking, and organized crime.
He also highlighted the importance of support within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) for the establishment of an Anti-Drug Center in Dushanbe and a Center for Combating International Organized Crime in Bishkek.
Sadyr Japarov expressed confidence that the Prime Minister of Tajikistan would discuss all aspects of cooperation with the Kyrgyz Prime Minister and take steps to strengthen relations.
Kohir Rasulzoda, in turn, thanked for the warm welcome and traditional hospitality. He conveyed the best wishes from the Tajik leader Emomali Rahmon to the President of Kyrgyzstan.
The Prime Minister noted that strengthening relations with Kyrgyzstan is a key priority of Tajikistan's foreign policy.
“We are inspired by the positive changes in your country, which evoke sincere respect and highlight the creative energy of the Kyrgyz people under your leadership,” noted the Prime Minister.
He added that Kyrgyzstan's economic indicators are among the best in the region.
“Thanks to an open dialogue with the President of Tajikistan and your political will, our relations have reached a new level. The signing of the state border agreement was a significant step towards a solid foundation of friendship and trust between our states,” stated Kohir Rasulzoda.
Sadyr Japarov confirmed his words and expressed support for the course aimed at strengthening Kyrgyz-Tajik relations.
In conclusion, the President noted that the results of the Prime Minister's visit and the joint efforts of the governments will contribute to the further development of bilateral cooperation for the benefit of both peoples.
