Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, stated in an interview with the Kabar agency about plans for significant reforms in the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).

He noted that the agency has successfully handled the tasks assigned to it. "Moreover, in some aspects, the SCNS has even exceeded expectations," Japarov added.

However, the president emphasized that state structures must adapt to changes in the world. "The state is a dynamic system that requires constant development. If yesterday we faced certain challenges in the field of national security, today they are completely different. Given the modern realities, the SCNS is awaiting a qualitative reform that corresponds to new threats and global changes. The world is changing, and our state institutions must also evolve and renew themselves," he said.

It is worth reminding that after the resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of head of the SCNS, the president initiated measures to reform this agency.
