In an interview with "Kabar," President Sadyr Japarov expressed the opinion that the "appeal of 75 people" may involve a larger number of citizens. He commented on the possible combination of critical remarks from some deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh and this appeal as part of a single campaign.

According to him, relevant investigative actions are currently underway.

“The investigation should clarify how significant the initiative in question is and how many people participated in it. It is likely that the number of participants will turn out to be even greater than stated. However, I will only be able to draw final conclusions after the investigation is completed,” Japarov added.

He also responded to a question about the reasons for the appeal to the Constitutional Court and its main objectives.
“I have always maintained the view that the doubts and disputes arising in society require a legal and precise resolution. The Constitutional Court operates in Kyrgyzstan, and it is the one that can provide final and legal assessments to all discussions related to the Constitution. Therefore, the appeal to the Constitutional Court on this matter seems to me a legally justified and logical step,” the president emphasized.

We remind you that earlier a group of public figures and officials appealed to the head of state Sadyr Japarov and the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu with a request to urgently initiate new presidential elections. This appeal was signed by 75 people.
