Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan resigns

Today, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu announced his decision to resign from the position of Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.

He noted that he has held this position since 2022 and has continued to fulfill his duties until now.

“I have always acted in the interests of the country and the people of Kyrgyzstan, not of individuals. Throughout my time, I have tried to facilitate the adoption of significant decisions for our country. I do not intend to leave politics and will continue to work as a deputy. We need to learn to interact without intrigues to ensure political stability,” emphasized Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu.

He also reported that the delegation returned from Turkey the day before, and the visit was quite successful.

Earlier, there was information about a possible resignation of the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, which could have been initiated after his return from Turkey. This became relevant after the recent resignations of the head of the State National Security Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Kamchybek Tashiev.
