The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, in its statement, pointed out the dissemination of one-sided information in the media aimed at undermining citizens' trust in government authorities against the backdrop of the recent resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev.

The press center of the GKNB noted that it should not be forgotten that the agency's employees act in accordance with the Constitution and legislation, subordinating themselves to the Supreme Commander of the country. In their work, they are guided by the principles of legality, objectivity, and accountability to society.

The priorities of the GKNB are the protection of citizens' rights and freedoms, ensuring state security, and combating terrorism, extremism, and corruption.

The committee emphasized that any issues should be resolved exclusively on a legal basis, relying on facts and verified data.

Discrediting state structures without evidence harms not only the specific agency but also reduces the level of trust in society as a whole.

The GKNB called on the public, the media, and high-ranking officials to refrain from harsh criticism of employees, emphasizing that they perform their duties diligently and with high responsibility.

The agency also assured that work to ensure security will continue consistently and fundamentally in the interests of the people and the state.

It should be noted that on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree relieving Kamchybek Tashiev of his duties as Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the GKNB.

Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov became the acting chairman of the GKNB.

In addition, three deputy chairmen of the GKNB were also dismissed.
