"Everything Will Be Fine": The Mayor of Osh Calmed Employees Worried About Tashiev
A video appeared on social media showing workers sharing their worries.
According to their statements, the main concerns are related to changes in the security forces. One of the employees noted: "I am worried about Tashiev." To which another replied: "Everything will be fine. They are friends; they won't leave each other." There were also those who couldn't sleep thinking about it: "I couldn't even sleep last night." In response, the mayor assured them that there is no reason for concern and that the situation will be resolved. "Everything will be fine; we will see," he emphasized.
It is worth reminding that on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree removing Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). The president explained this decision as a necessity to "prevent a split in society." Tashiev himself, while in Germany for a scheduled examination after heart surgery, reported that he learned about his dismissal at that time.
After Tashiev's dismissal, there was a restructuring in the security block. The deputies of the head of the GKNB were dismissed, the Border Service was removed from the structure of the state committee, and a new State Guard Service was created based on the Ninth Service, which now reports directly to the president.
