The former head of the GKNB shared his thoughts on his recent dismissal
Kamchybek Tashiev, who previously held the position of Deputy Prime Minister and headed the GKNB, expressed surprise regarding his dismissal that occurred the day before. This became known thanks to a post by journalist Nurgazy Anarkulov on social media.
“I was undergoing treatment in Germany with the president's permission, as I needed to undergo a medical examination after a previous operation,” Tashiev noted.
“However, yesterday I received news of my dismissal. This came as a complete surprise to me,” he added.
Tashiev emphasized the need to respect the president's decisions. “I served our people and state with honor and pride. What saddens me the most is that I did not have the opportunity to say goodbye to my colleagues,” he said.
He also expressed gratitude to the GKNB staff and wished them success in the future. “To maintain peace and stability in the country, no one should resort to illegal actions, and all our actions must comply with the law,” added the former head of the GKNB.
It should be noted that on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov relieved Tashiev and all his deputies of their positions. Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov became the acting head of the GKNB.
Additionally, changes occurred within the structure of the special services: the Border Service regained its status as an independent organization, and a State Protection Service was also established.
