Abdikarym Alimbaev was removed from the position of First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security. And given a new position.

Abdikarim Alimbaev has been relieved of his duties as the First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security — Director of the Border Service. On the same day, he was appointed Chairman of the State Border Service, which had just been separated from the GKNB an hour earlier. This was reported by the presidential information security service.

The appointment decrees were signed by President Sadyr Japarov.

Recall that on February 10, Sadyr Japarov signed a decree according to which Kamchybek Tashiev was relieved of his position as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security. He was replaced by Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov as Acting Chairman of the GKNB. Three deputies of the GKNB Chairman also resigned.
