“The issue was not raised in the Jogorku Kenesh”
The press service of the Jogorku Kenesh published a statement denying rumors about the possible resignation of speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu.
“Reports about the alleged removal of speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu are not true. This issue was not discussed in the Jogorku Kenesh. Currently, the speaker is in Turkey on an official visit as part of a parliamentary delegation,” the press service noted.
Earlier, there were reports about a possible replacement of the speaker with another candidate after his return to Kyrgyzstan, which was linked to the recent dismissal of the head of the State Committee for National Security, Kamybek Tashiev.
