The criminal case initiated regarding the installation of video cameras at polling stations in district No. 13 during the parliamentary elections in November 2025 has been closed. This was reported by the prosecutor of the Jalal-Abad region, Turusbek Ishenaliev, in an interview on the YouTube channel of independent journalist Elaman Karymshakov.

According to the prosecutor, law enforcement agencies conducted an appropriate investigation, following which a decision was made to terminate the criminal case. However, the prosecutor did not disclose the details of this decision.

It is worth noting that the extraordinary elections to the Jogorku Kenesh took place on November 30, 2025. As a result of recorded violations in district No. 13, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums annulled the voting results on December 3. The video cameras installed at 35 polling stations allowed observers to monitor the voting process, and, according to media reports, campaigners could see how voters were casting their ballots.

A repeat vote in the district is scheduled for March 1, with the campaigning period set to begin on February 9 and end on February 28.
