The criminal case related to the installation of video cameras at polling stations in district No. 13 during the parliamentary elections has been closed. This was reported by the prosecutor of the Jalal-Abad region, Turusbek Ishenaliyev, who shared the information on the YouTube channel of independent journalist Elaman Karymshakov.

Ishenaliyev noted that after a review by law enforcement agencies, a decision was made to close the case. However, the prosecutor did not go into details regarding this decision.

It is worth recalling that the extraordinary elections to the Jogorku Kenesh took place on November 30, 2025. Due to identified violations in district No. 13, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums annulled the voting results on December 3. According to available information, surveillance cameras were installed at 35 polling stations, allowing agitators to monitor the voting process.

A re-vote in the district is scheduled for March 1, and the campaigning period will begin on February 9 and last until February 28.
