Biographical Information
- Erkin Bozhokoevich Toktombetov received his legal education at the Kyrgyz State University named after the 50th anniversary of the USSR, where he studied from 1985 to 1990. His career began in 1982 at a machine-building plant in Bishkek, where he worked as a laborer and driver.
- From 1990 to 1992, he was an intern-investigator at the Prosecutor's Office of the Lenin District of Bishkek, which provided him with valuable experience in investigative work and prosecutorial oversight.
- In 1992-1993, he served as a prosecutor in the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, and in 1993 became the deputy prosecutor of the Alamudun District in the Chui Region.
- Toktombetov worked as an assistant to the chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic from 1993 to 1994, and then headed the department of the Constitutional Court from 1995.
- From 1994 to 1996, he worked in international organizations, including the international center "Kyrgyzstan - Germany - Europe" and collaborated with the Hong Kong bank "Henfen-LTD".
- From 1996 to 1997, he was the head of the legal service at the joint venture "Medpharm" in Bishkek.
- From 1997 to 1999, he held managerial positions in the Higher Arbitration Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Arbitration Court of the Chui Region.
- From 1999 to 2008, Toktombetov served as the deputy chairman of the Chui Region Court.
- In 2008-2009, he headed the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.
- From 2009 to 2012, he held the positions of deputy chairman and judge of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.
- In 1998 and 1999, he was awarded honorary certificates from the governor of the Chui Region.
- In 2008, he was elected a member of the Council of Judges of the Kyrgyz Republic, and later became its deputy chairman.
