During the meeting, Deputy Marlen Mamataliyev emphasized that the legalization brought 1.8 billion soms into the budget.
“Some citizens did not manage to take advantage of this opportunity. I provided a list of such individuals to the Ministry of Economy, but I was quickly denied. Therefore, I am appealing to you to consider the possibility of extending the legalization,” he added.
However, Daniyar Amangeldiev noted that the re-legalization of vehicles will not be carried out.
“This is the clear position of the government. Drivers were given enough time, and special windows were set up at the GRS. Unfortunately, many did not show the necessary responsibility. This issue has caused serious disputes within the EAEU. If we decide to extend the legalization, our partners may accuse us of facilitating smuggling and insufficient contributions to the common budget of the EAEU. Therefore, the issue of re-legalization is closed,” he emphasized.
