Sadyr Japarov Invites American Business to New Projects in Kyrgyzstan
During the meeting, the head of state emphasized the multi-vector nature of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy and the importance of cooperation with the United States. He noted that the republic is open to all foreign investors and businessmen, without distinguishing them by nationality, and offers equal conditions for doing business and a level of state support.
The U.S. delegation was the largest in the history of relations between Kyrgyzstan and America, highlighting the role of the American-Kyrgyz Business Council.
President Japarov also reported on the positive dynamics in the country's economy and discussed the implementation of major projects in infrastructure, energy, and industry aimed at long-term development.
He added that one of the key priorities of Kyrgyzstan's economic policy is attracting investments. In this regard, the republic is taking steps to improve the investment climate, including expanding tax incentives, simplifying business registration, and reducing administrative barriers.
Additionally, Japarov noted that Standard & Poor’s Global Ratings assigned Kyrgyzstan a sovereign credit rating of B+ with a "stable" outlook in 2025, indicating positive results from the reforms being implemented and growing trust from investors.
Sergio Gor, in turn, emphasized that the U.S. is increasing its attention to the region and sees opportunities for creating mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships. He expressed the American side's readiness to expand tools for supporting investment cooperation and interest in joint projects.
During the discussions, representatives of American companies and organizations proposed various areas for cooperation, including the American-Kyrgyz Business Council, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as well as companies like Boeing, Coca-Cola, Franklin Templeton, GE Healthcare, and Mooney Group.
At the end of the negotiations, the parties confirmed their intention to deepen economic dialogue and develop practical cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the U.S.
It should be noted that a two-day business forum "B5+1" is currently taking place in Bishkek, bringing together representatives from the business circles and government structures of Central Asia and the U.S.
The "B5+1" format is aimed at developing regional economic cooperation, improving dialogue between business and government authorities, as well as promoting joint investment and trade-economic projects.
