Sadyr Japarov: Kyrgyzstan is Ready to Become a Reliable Partner for U.S. Business
On February 4 in Bishkek, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, held a meeting with the U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, Ambassador Sergio Gore, as well as representatives of the American business community at "Yntymak Ordo."
During the meeting, the president emphasized that Kyrgyzstan adheres to a multi-vector foreign policy and places great importance on partnership with the United States.
“We are open to all foreign businessmen and investors, regardless of their country of origin. We provide equal conditions for all, including Kyrgyz entrepreneurs, and are ready to offer full support for their activities,” the president stated.
He also noted that the current delegation of American businessmen is the largest in the history of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and the USA.
An important aspect of the meeting was the discussion of the work of the Kyrgyz-American Business Council.
“The Kyrgyz Republic is ready to be a reliable and stable partner for American business in this region,” the president added.
The president also emphasized that the economy of Kyrgyzstan has shown positive dynamics and stable growth in recent years.
Sadyr Japarov spoke about the implementation of major infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects aimed at the long-term economic development of the country.
Addressing American companies, he noted that enhancing investment potential is a priority of Kyrgyzstan's economic policy.
The president added that Kyrgyzstan is actively working on improving the investment climate, expanding tax incentives, simplifying business registration, and reducing administrative interference.
According to the international rating agency Standard & Poor’s Global Ratings, in 2025, Kyrgyzstan's sovereign credit rating will be B+ with a "Stable" outlook.
This fact confirms the effectiveness of the structural reforms being carried out and the growing trust of international investors.
“Our main goal is to ensure that Kyrgyzstan is perceived as a reliable and competitive jurisdiction for long-term investments and technological partnerships,” the president noted.
Sadyr Japarov expressed hope that the meeting would lay the foundation for new joint projects, technological cooperation, and long-term economic partnerships.
The U.S. Special Envoy, Ambassador Sergio Gore, confirmed that the interest of the United States in the region is growing every year, and such a level of engagement has not been observed before.
He noted that the Trump administration sees opportunities for developing mutually beneficial and sustainable relations between the countries.
“Previously, we did not have the opportunity to cooperate so closely with your region and your team, but now such opportunities are opening up,” emphasized Sergio Gore.
The ambassador also noted that President Trump is eager to expand economic cooperation with various regions of the world, thereby creating additional opportunities for the private sector in the USA.
Sergio Gore expressed interest in cooperation and emphasized the importance of all initiatives and proposals. “We strive for the region to receive constant attention from the White House,” he added.
He pointed out the significant potential for cooperation in Kyrgyzstan and with neighboring states in the region.
Gore also added that the members of the delegation present in Bishkek have already been able to assess the existing opportunities. “The U.S. government is ready to expand the tools for supporting investment cooperation, and today’s discussion is just the first step towards further joint development,” he noted.
Among the arriving businessmen are major American companies that are eager to establish direct contacts and develop cooperation.
“We are ready to work together and are confident in achieving concrete and successful results,” concluded the U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, Ambassador Sergio Gore.
Representatives of several American companies and organizations, such as the Kyrgyz-American Business Council, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Boeing, Coca Cola Company, Franklin Templeton, GE Healthcare, and Mooney Group, voiced proposals for promising areas of cooperation.
As a result of the meeting, mutual interest in deepening Kyrgyz-American economic dialogue and developing practical cooperation between the government structures and businesses of the two countries was confirmed.
