As reported by the State Institution "Unaa," citizens of Kyrgyzstan who work abroad and cannot return to their homeland should contact the embassy or consulate of Kyrgyzstan at their location to arrange for the replacement of their driver's licenses.
“The application for the replacement of the document is submitted directly to the consulate, and at the moment this service is provided free of charge,” representatives of the agency noted.
Additionally, employees of the State Institution "Unaa" clarified that for foreign citizens, such as Russians, who have driver's licenses from the Kyrgyz Republic, the procedure is also possible.
“They need to personally visit the department of the State Institution "Unaa" with their driver's card for the exchange of the license,” the specialists added.
The replacement of licenses for this category of citizens is also carried out free of charge.
The State Institution "Unaa" recommends that anyone with questions regarding the replacement of driver's licenses contact their branches for further information.
We remind you that since January of this year, the replacement of indefinite driver's licenses for more modern documents has begun in Kyrgyzstan.
Moreover, there is an option to replace a driver's license through the "Tunduk" application by uploading photos of the old document and submitting an application for a new one. The replacement is carried out free of charge, and there are no time limits for its completion.
