The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has launched an ambitious initiative aimed at modernizing the field of physical culture and sports. This document, effective until 2030, covers both mass and professional sports, as well as issues related to infrastructure, personnel training, digitalization, and the development of national sports.

One of the key tasks of the program is to increase the number of citizens engaged in sports on a regular basis from the current 15% to 30%. To achieve this goal, plans are in place to expand access to sports sections, university and school leagues, as well as events for adults and the elderly. More than 3,000 mass sports events will be held annually in the country.

The program also includes the construction of accessible sports complexes in rural areas, the creation of sports zones and modular training sites, as well as a complete inventory of sports facilities across the country.

Training specialists will become an important part of the program: emphasis will be placed on training sports doctors, psychologists, coaches, and referees, modernizing the educational system, and creating regional centers for sports medicine. To achieve high results in sports, plans include the construction of training bases, improving the preparation of reserve athletes, and active participation of national teams in international competitions. Special attention will be given to supporting national sports, such as kok-boru and Kyrgyz kyz kuu games, through the establishment of specialized centers in the regions.

Digitalization will be an important aspect of the program: a new national e-sport platform will consolidate information about athletes, coaches, competitions, and sports facilities, as well as automate the provision of public services and the monitoring of results.

All state and local authorities involved in the implementation of this program will report biannually on the progress of the tasks set. The program aims to create a modern, accessible, and sustainable sports system that contributes to improving the health of the population and enhancing the international status of Kyrgyz athletes.
