The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has initiated a large-scale program aimed at the development of physical culture and sports until 2030. This document is intended to serve as the foundation for the modernization of the sports sector in the country in the coming years.

The program covers a wide range of areas, including mass and professional sports, infrastructure development, training of qualified personnel, as well as digitalization and support for national sports. The main objective of the project is to create an accessible and modern system that contributes to the health of the population and enhances the competitiveness of Kyrgyz athletes on the world stage.
Currently, only 15% of the country's population engages in physical activity regularly.
The plan is to increase this percentage to 30% by providing access to various sports sections, school leagues, student tournaments, and events for adults and the elderly. Over the course of the year, more than 3,000 mass events will be organized in the republic to promote physical activity.

Infrastructure will be one of the priority areas. The program includes the construction of accessible sports facilities in rural areas, the creation of sports zones and tracks, as well as the construction of modular complexes. The state plans to conduct an inventory of sports facilities across the country and address the lack of infrastructure, especially in villages.
Training specialists in the field of sports will also be an important aspect of the program — sports doctors, psychologists, nutritionists, coaches, and referees.
The modernization of the educational system, an increase in the state order for training coaches, and the establishment of regional centers for sports medicine are also planned.

Special attention will be given to high-performance sports: the construction of training bases is planned, the improvement of the reserve training system, and the expansion of national teams' participation in international competitions.

Support will also be provided for national sports such as kok-boru and Kyrgyz kyzyl chyk, with the establishment of development centers for them in each district.

Digitalization will be a key element of the reform. Plans include the creation of a national digital platform for e-sport, which will integrate data on athletes, coaches, competitions, and sports facilities. This will allow for the automation of government services and improve the monitoring and evaluation of results.

All state and municipal bodies involved in the implementation of the program will be required to report twice a year on the progress of the planned activities.
