Significant changes in the field of school education are expected soon in Kyrgyzstan. The country's Prime Minister has issued an order for the rapid implementation of an electronic mechanism that will simplify the process of transferring students between schools. The main goal of this innovation is to eliminate opaque schemes and make life easier for parents.

At a government meeting chaired by Adylbek Kasymaliev, serious shortcomings of the current system were highlighted. Currently, there are 2,170 state educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan, where more than 1.5 million children are studying. However, the process of transferring students from one school to another is still carried out manually, which, according to the Prime Minister, creates conditions for corruption and leads to the overload of some educational institutions while there are free places in others.

The reform will be implemented based on the successful experience of electronic enrollment in the first grades. The new system will provide real-time information about the availability of free places in classes, completely excluding the intervention of school administration in the enrollment process. "The system should automatically show available places and minimize the influence of the human factor. This will simplify the process for parents," the government noted.

The necessity of this measure is confirmed by the acute problem of lack of places in the capital. On January 22, Deputy Minister of Construction Talantbek Imanakun uulu presented the results of an inventory to the Jogorku Kenesh. In 120 schools in Bishkek, designed for 104,000 places, more than 261,000 children are actually studying.

The most difficult situation is observed in the Lenin and Pervomaisky districts. In the Lenin district, schools are overcrowded by almost three times: with a design capacity of 30,400 places, more than 91,000 students are enrolled. In the Pervomaisky district, the situation is similar — the load exceeds design indicators by almost three times. The situation in the Sverdlovsk and Oktyabrsky districts also remains tense. This data was presented during the discussion of a draft law concerning the attraction of credit funds for the construction of 14 new schools in Bishkek, which will help partially solve the problem.

Automating the transfer process in the context of a severe shortage of places will be the only way to ensure fair distribution of places and prevent speculation on a child's right to education.
