During the inspection, the official assessed how citizens are served and whether safety requirements are being met.
One of the main problems pointed out by Tumanbaev is the use of photographs of citizens taken 20-30 years ago in old driver's licenses. He noted that such documents complicate the process of identity verification and create security risks. Moreover, old licenses have a low level of protection and are easily forged.
It was also noted that outdated driver's licenses from Kyrgyzstan are not recognized as legitimate documents in several countries. This underscores the need for strict control and a transition to new documents that meet international standards.
The center's management was instructed to develop digital technologies, expand the range of electronic services, and completely update the registries.
According to official data, from January 15 to 21, during the campaign to replace old-style licenses, the following applications were submitted:
- 46,431 applications online;
- 32,528 applications in traditional format.
A total of 78,959 applications were accepted, indicating a high level of interest from citizens.
As a result of the inspection, the need to improve discipline in the provision of public services, enhance security levels, and consistently implement digital solutions was emphasized.
