The Ministry of Defense has been handed the keys to 81 vehicles
Today, 81 vehicles were handed over to the Ministry of Defense, with the participation of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev. These vehicles were purchased with state funds and are intended to improve the mobility and equipping of military units, as reported by the government press service.
During the ceremony, Kasymaliev congratulated the servicemen on behalf of the president and the government, noting that 19 JAC T-6 vehicles and 36 Chevrolets were produced at the Kyrgyz plant Tulpar Motors. He emphasized that a modern army must combine traditions and new technologies, and that servicemen serve with high responsibility and honor.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers also reminded that in recent years, the country's defense capability has significantly strengthened. The budget for the Armed Forces has increased by more than 300% compared to 2018-2019. These funds have been directed towards modernizing the technical base, purchasing modern weapons and special equipment, as well as developing the infrastructure of military units and garrisons. New air defense and electronic warfare systems have already been delivered to the army.
In addition, Kasymaliev announced the completion of the first stage of the digitalization of the Ministry of Defense, during which document flow and the accounting of servicemen were optimized. The electronic system has already been implemented in five military registration offices, with plans to expand it to 25 by March. The process of digitalizing military IDs has also begun.
Social support measures for servicemen were also discussed: the housing rent compensation has been increased to 500 soms in Bishkek and 420 soms in the regions. A monthly mortgage compensation is provided: 18,000 soms in the capital and 15,000 in the regions. Servicemen with more than 20 years of service can expect state assistance until the mortgage is fully paid off, and housing can be purchased in any convenient region. In the near future, the Ministry of Defense will provide more than 900 apartments through the State Mortgage Company.
