Photo EEC. Almaz Abdekirov appointed as deputy director of the macroeconomic policy department
Abdekirov, born in 1986, graduated from the Kyrgyz National University in 2008 with a degree in "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science." In 2023, he also completed a master's program at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, specializing in economics.
He began his career in 2008 as an intern at the Ministry of Economy, and by the end of 2025, he reached the position of head of the macroeconomic policy department in the same ministry.
Starting from January 12, 2026, Abdekirov will serve as the deputy director in the macroeconomic policy department of the EEC.
