Almaz Abdekirov Appointed Deputy Director of the Macroeconomic Policy Department of the EEC

On January 15, 2026, the EEC announced the appointment of Almaz Abdekirov as Deputy Director of the Department of Macroeconomic Policy.

Almaz Tynchtykbekovich Abdekirov officially began his duties on January 12, 2026.

He was born in 1986 and graduated from the Kyrgyz National University in 2008 with a degree in "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science." In 2023, he also completed his master's degree at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of "Economics."

Abdekirov began his career in 2008 as an intern at the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic. By the end of 2025, he had already held the position of head of the macroeconomic policy department in this ministry.
