According to him, Kyrgyz cinema is popular, and audiences actively attend screenings of new films.
An important piece of news is the announcement of plans to build a film studio in Kyrgyzstan, which has received approval from the authorities.
Additionally, the Ministry of Culture intends to create a recording studio with Dolby Atmos technology.
“Our filmmakers often have to travel to Moscow to dub their films. This incurs significant costs for travel, accommodation, and studio rentals. Why not create such conditions here in the country? The state is capable of doing this now,” Mambetaliev noted.
He added that the ministry is currently focused on developing the technical specifications for the studio, hoping to complete the project by the end of 2026.
“We plan to create a film studio that will be used for filming by both ‘Kyrgyzfilm’ and private studios. This will not only ensure demand for services but also create additional financial opportunities for ‘Kyrgyzfilm’,” the minister explained.
The Dolby Atmos technology, introduced by Dolby Laboratories in 2012, provides immersive sound by expanding the capabilities of sound systems through the addition of height channels, allowing sounds to be perceived as three-dimensional objects.
