In Kyrgyzstan, registration for first graders in schools starts on April 1

Starting April 1, 2026, registration for children entering the first grade for the 2026–2027 academic year will begin. Deputy Minister of Education Nadira Jusupbekova announced this at a press conference organized by the "Kabar" agency.

Children born between January 1 and December 31, 2019, as well as those born between January 1 and December 31, 2020, will be accepted into the first grade.

The admission process will take place in two stages.

The first stage will begin on April 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM and will be available for children residing in the designated microdistrict of the school, provided they have registration at their place of residence.

The second stage will take place starting June 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM, when parents will be able to submit applications to any school if there are available spots.

"Registration is available on the platform 1mektep.edu.gov.kg, as well as through the 'Tunduk' app and other similar services," added Jusupbekova.

The Ministry of Education urges parents of future first graders to register their children in advance through the "Electronic Registration" system and to closely monitor the deadlines for submitting documents.
