
In Bishkek, an extended meeting took place where the Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations Gulzat Isamatova discussed important issues with the rectors of the country's universities. The ministry's press service reported on the key aspects of this meeting.
During the discussion, current reforms and main directions for the development of both higher and secondary vocational education were addressed. The main focus was on the transition to new state educational standards due to the implementation of the 12-year school system, as well as the need to revise educational programs in line with modern requirements.
Representatives of the ministry noted that the key topics of discussion included strengthening the role of educational and methodological associations, implementing a system of key performance indicators (KPI) in educational institutions, and increasing the transparency of their operations.
Measures aimed at improving the quality of higher education and developing innovative processes were also considered. This includes updating educational and research programs, as well as enhancing the scientific potential of universities and improving the quality management system.
During the meeting, information was presented about current efforts to digitize the educational system and plans for the near future.

Minister Gulzat Isamatova emphasized the need for systematic modernization of higher education, focusing on practical training and the integration of science, education, and the production sector. It was also stated that similar meetings would be held in the country's universities to hear reports on the activities of educational institutions.
As a result of the meeting, priority tasks were identified, and corresponding instructions were given.
