According to information from local authorities, a meeting was held on February 10 to discuss the construction of new schools. The mayor of the Osh region, Жеңишбек Токторбаев, and the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, Нурдан Орунтаев, participated in this event.
During the meeting, the projects for the 10 educational institutions to be built in the city by 2026 were reviewed. Participants discussed the locations for their placement, infrastructure provision issues, and the stages of construction work. Special attention was paid to the readiness of land plots, the correctness of project documentation, and adherence to deadlines.
After the meeting, the mayor, along with the minister and representatives of relevant services, visited the sites where schools are planned to be built. The city hall noted that the new social facilities must meet modern requirements, be constructed from quality materials, and be built in accordance with the principles of transparency and accountability.
As clarified by Turmush, the head of the Osh regional department of urban planning and architecture, Азамат Каныбек уулу, detailed plans for the locations and projects of the schools were discussed.
According to information from the press service of the department, the plots where the 10 schools will be built have currently been identified. Here are some of them:
– in the MTU Kurmanjan-datka, village of Өзгүр, on the territory of secondary school No. 33 named after S. Alimkulov — an additional building for 375 students;
– in the MTU Kurmanjan-datka, N. Isanova St., No. 27a/1, on the territory of the school named after J. Bökönbaev — an additional building for 750 students, the area of the plot is 2.66 ha;
– in the MTU Kurmanjan-datka, Tashkent St., No. 50, on the territory of school No. 2 named after Salizhan Zhigitov (Karl Marx) — a school for 1000 students, the area of the plot is 2.5 ha;
– in the MTU Sulayman-Too, Kurmanjan-datka St., No. 97, on the territory of secondary school No. 3 named after M. V. Lomonosov — a school for 750 students;
– in the rural district of Tölöykön, in the residential area Ak-Buura-2 (40 ha), at 10th Street, No. 26 — a school for 700 students, the area of the plot is 10,485 sq. m;
– in the rural district of Kyzyl-Kyshtak, village of Ishkavan — a school for 700 students, the area of the plot is 8178 sq. m;
– in the rural district of Kyzyl-Kyshtak, Sary-Zoo plot, 2nd Street, No. 20k — a school for 500 students, the area of the plot is 1.017 ha;
– in the MTU Manas-Ata, on the territory of secondary school named after Barpy Alykulov, U. Salieva St., No. 38 — an additional building;
– in the rural district of Kyzyl-Kyshtak, in the new residential area Ene-Sai — a school for 1200 students;
– in the rural district of Kyzyl-Kyshtak, village of Suröttü-Tash, Habibullina St., No. 2 — a school for 500 students, the area of the plot is 1.5 ha.
Funding for all schools will be provided from the republican budget.
According to the directive of President Sadyr Japarov, 10 schools will be built in the Osh region by 2026. Two old educational institutions — the schools named after S. Zhigitov (Karl Marx) and M. V. Lomonosov — will be demolished, and new modern schools will be built in their place.
It is planned that all 10 schools will be completed and put into operation by September 1, 2026.
