Evgeniya Mikhailovna was born on April 7, 1940.
After completing her postgraduate studies at the Institute of Experimental Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR in 1969, she began her career as a laboratory assistant, later becoming a senior researcher and head of the laboratory.
Later, Lushikhina headed a laboratory at the Institute of Biology and Soil Science of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, as well as the laboratory of genetics and biotechnology at the Biotechnology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, where she worked until 2020.
Evgeniya Lushikhina was the daughter of Academician Mikhail Lushikhin and continued his work, focusing on the creation of a new breed of Kyrgyz mountain merino.
The National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic noted that "she was the only woman in this profession."
